The Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan issued a statement amid rumors of a tenge rate and a shortage of coins
Astana. June 6. KazTAG - The Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan (AFC) issued a statement amid rumors of a tenge exchange rate and a shortage of coins, the agency reports.
“Currently, unreliable information about allegedly coming sharp depreciation of the tenge, the introduction of a single currency and the shortage of coins in circulation is actively being spread among the users of instant messengers and social networks. This information is clearly provocative in nature and does not correspond to reality”, - said a statement released on Thursday.
AFC noted that they conduct a tenge survey on a monthly basis among the professional community.
It is noted that the agreement on the EAEU does not provide for the creation of a single monetary union and the introduction of a single currency.
“Regarding the shortage of coins, it should be noted that currently the second-tier banks in sufficient quantity for customer service are provided with all denominations of coins”, - the report said.
