Astana. June 6. KazTAG - The case of smuggled cigarettes for KZT1.1 billion from Iran into the Mangistau region has been taken to court, informed the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
The employees of the Department of Economic Investigations in the Mangystau region together with the anti-corruption service of the region in the territory of the Aktau international sea trade port in 12 containers found goods not declared to the customs authorities - cigarettes worth KZT1.1 billion.
"According to the calculations of specialists, the amount of due customs payments and taxes amounted to KZT1.8 billion", - is summarized in the message.
