Almaty May 29. KazTAG - The Chinese Foundation will hand over humanitarian aid to undergraduates in countries along the Belt and Road, reports Xinhua.
“The Chinese Foundation to Combat Poverty plans to transfer about 200,000 packages of humanitarian aid to primary school students in the countries along the Belt and Road in 2019,” - the message said on Wednesday.
It is noted that in China, the project has existed since 2009, “it provides primary schools in poor areas with the necessary study pieces of furniture, textbooks and other necessary things”.
“Last year, the project went beyond China and began to help students abroad,” - said Yan Zhitao, deputy secretary general of the foundation.
The fund clarified that over the past 10 years, the project has collected 700 million yuan (about $101 million) and helped more than 6 million students in China.
