Astana. June 13. KazTAG - Zhanbolat Mamyshev. The government hopes that the ban on the export of ferrous scrap lead to the development of its processing in Kazakhstan, said First Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau.
"We have an understanding, why did the government has gone to unprecedented measures to ban the export of ferrous scrap, and now plans an extension of this measure to the end of the year."- he said at a press conference on Friday.
"We did a large import of finished metal products. We import 2 million tons of black pipe, up to 1 million tons of all sorts of profiles, rods, fittings and so on - even. This is just the metal, roughly speaking, that is leaving the country, "- said Deputy Minister.
