The Ministry of Energy is considering cooperation with Russia for the gasification of regions

Astana. May 24th. KazTAG - The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan is considering options for cooperation with Russia to gasify the regions, informed Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov.

According to the information, the most optimal routes for gas pipelines have already been determined. These are: "Barnaul - Rubtsovsk - Semey - Ust-Kamenogorsk with a branch to the city of Pavlodar"  with an approximate length of 1,000 km and "Ishim - Petropavlovsk - Kokshetau - Nur-Sultan" with an approximate length of 644 km.

“Today, the Russian side is making calculations, which we expect to receive in the second quarter of this year. We are also studying the option of gasification of the East Kazakhstan region and the northern regions by supplying reduced natural gas from the Russian Federation. At the same time, it should be noted that this requires the construction of an appropriate infrastructure for compression and regasification and the investment of appropriate investments in construction,” Akchulakov noted.
