Almaty. June 19. KazTAG - Russian Pipe Metallurgical Company (PMC) will participate in the tender for the replacement of pipelines at Kashagan, said international oil and gas newspaper Upstream.
"According to a top manager, a Russian oil producer PMC is preparing to participate in the tender for the replacement of two underwater pipelines that extend from the artificial island created in the Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea to Kazakhstan's oil refinery, - specifies the information published on Thursday .
Recall, at 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow, Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin said that production at Kashagan field may not be renewed until the end of 2015.
As reported, the oil production at Kashagan began on 11 September 2013. However, on September 24 exploitation was stopped after gas leak detection of terrestrial pipeline connecting the island D to the Integrated Oil and Gas Factory "Bolashak".
On October 9, 2013 production was again halted after the discovery of a new leak. After repair of damaged, compound hydrotesting was conducted under the full control, during which other places of potential leaks were identified.
