Almaty May 31. KazTAG - The world market of local equipment for Wi-Fi networks (WLAN) has grown by almost 7% in a year, iXBT.com reports.
“The market grew by 6.9% in annual terms and reached $2.4 billion. At the same time, the corporate segment recorded an increase of 7.1% to $1.4 billion, and in the consumer segment - an increase of 6.6%, up to $1 billion”, - said IDC analyst firm experts, comparing the results for the period from the beginning of the first quarter of 2018 to the end of the first quarter of 2019.
The survey notes that equipment conforming to the Wi-Fi 802.11ac specification dominates in the corporate segment, accounting for 86.4% of deliveries in quantitative terms and 93.1% in monetary terms.
Among the suppliers of corporate equipment WLAN, Cisco is the leading one, having increased its share from 44.3% to 46.8% over the year. In second place is a bunch of HPE and Aruba, which showed an increase from 12.6% to 14.1%. Closes the top three Ubiquiti - 7.3%.
