There is no question of lockdown in Almaty in case of spread of the "Indian" strain - Bekshin

Almaty. June 24. KazTAG - There is no question of a lockdown in Almaty in case of spread of the "Indian" strain, said Zhandarbek Bekshin, chief state sanitary doctor of Almaty.
“Everything depends on all of us put together, since only in a single set of events will we be able to say whether there will be a lockdown. Today this question is not raised. There has been only one case and you are already talking about lockdown. Better tell us how to prevent a lockdown. And for this you need to be vaccinated and follow all the restrictive measures that epidemiologists  require, "Bekshin said.
At the same time, he noted that the types of restrictions will depend on the decision of the chief state sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan.
“Now we will introduce (quarantine restrictions - KazTAG) everywhere, but now we are waiting for the decision of the chief state sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan. Yesterday there was an order from the head of the interdepartmental commission Yeraly Tugzhanov (Deputy Prime Minister - KazTAG) to the chief sanitary doctor to take appropriate measures, including mandatory vaccination for people who working in the service sector,” he said.
