"As for the regions, there are natural reserves; it is West Kazakhstan, Aktubinsk and Kostanay region. All the technique will be delivered there which will conduct chemical treatment. Safe chemicals will be delivered there," he said at the international specialized session of the Ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia.
He said that a big number of pests are expected "due to biological pick".
"We expect possible spread of locust on our territory and the Ministry of Agriculture is ready for this scenario. At the same time we are concerned as there is a biological peak of locust," he added.
