"Attracting investments is, first of all, an active position of the attractor. Therefore, we will be watching the single window in 2026. If it does not work very actively... The time of passive investment attraction is over," Zhumangarin said during the discussion of the draft law "On the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" at the plenary session of the Senate.
According to him, before the proposal to make a decision on investments through the "single window" mechanism in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was introduced into the Tax Code, Kazakhstan had decentralized decision-making.
"The relevant ministries met with investors and discussed it. For example, recently, to bring the largest sugar investor to Kazakhstan, we went to Dubai, talked to him on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, accompanied him for three and a half months and brought him to the conclusion of a contract," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
