Tokayev about MIA: Police must be more transparent
Astana. April 18. KazTAG - Police must be more transparent, there is a need of a dialogue with the society, said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, president of Kazakhstan.
"Police work is under constant attention of all the community. Your service directly concerns the interests of people and their security. Thus, work of the Ministry of Interior Affairs must be organized clearly and in system. Police must be more transparent. For this there is a need of a dialogue with the society. In these aims we will keep on reforming the law enforcement system initiated by Elbasy. Its key task is protection of people's rights," said Tokayev.
He marked the first president of Kazakhstan Elbasy set the task to form zero tolerance to criminality.
Indicating stability of criminal situation in the state, the president of Kazakhstan marked the directions which need work enhancement, including lack of effective interaction of police with society, insufficient work for prevention of cattle theft, mobile phones and car parts, weak combat with drugs trafficking.
The president indicated the need of reduction of mortality on the roads, prophylactics of violations on the sites and protection of people from disasters and emergencies.
