“From January 1, 2021, the Republic of Kazakhstan took over the chairmanship of the EAEU bodies. Based on the results of the first five years of operation of our association, we can declare that the EAEU has emerged as a successful and attractive integration project, ” he said.
At the same time, according to him, "today the world is in a state of turbulence."
“The ongoing instability of the global economy and financial markets is exacerbated by the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic. It exposed numerous problems in international relations, led to a rethinking of the established models, principles and tools of economic interaction. In such conditions the union must focus on long-term priorities: maintaining the stability of economic and social systems, increasing the well-being of people and ensuring the progress of the EAEU and its member states. Effective and full-fledged implementation of the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of these goals, " he said.
