Tokayev appoints Alimbayev as vice minister of foreign affairs

Astana. April 19. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Erlan Alimbayev as vice minister of foreign affairs, Akorda reports.
"By the order of the head of state, Erlan Alimbayev has been appointed as deputy minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan," reads the report.
Since September 2020, Alimbayev has been the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Brunei and the Maldives, before that, since September 2019, he was ambassador to India, and even earlier served as ambassador-at-large of the Foreign Ministry.
