Tokayev conducted meeting with OSCE head in Akorda
Astana. April 8. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has conducted a meeting with Miroslav Lajčák, OSCE chairperson-in-office in Akorda, reports the press-service of the head of state.
"A meeting has been held with Miroslav Lajčák, OSCE chairperson-in-office," reads the message.
Tokayev indicated peacefulness of Kazakhstani foreign policy and outlined adherence of Kazakhstan to constructive cooperation with international organizations.
"I am glad to greet you in Nur-Sultan, which you are visiting as a foreign minister of Slovakia and OSCE chairman," said Tokayev.
Miroslav Lajčák, in turn, indicated that the task of the OSCE is prevention of conflicts, provision of security, effective multilateral cooperation, he also marked the strategic role of Kazakhstan in regulation of international crisis.
"I am grateful for receiving me and my delegation. I congratulate you on taking the presidential post and wish all the best to you and your country," he said.
The parties have discussed hot issues of regional and international agenda and the prospects of interaction of Kazakhstan with OSCE.
