Tokayev expects exit of Kazakh-Russian companies to the markets of China and CA

Astana. June 3. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expects Kazakhstani-Russian companies to enter the markets of China and Central Asia, reports Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
"We will support the Russian business which performs the investment projects in Kazakhstan. We expect in the result of our cooperation the industries will enter the markets of China and Central Asia," he said.
In his words, he can see success of Russia in digitalization of customs operations and tax administration.
"Customs authorities have introduced technologies that almost completely exclude human participation – automatic registration and automatic issuance of declarations. In the field of digitalization of tax administration, Russia takes the leading position in the world. Your practice of strengthening tax control and applying big data technologies also deserves close attention, " he said.
The President stressed that Russia is the main trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan.
"The volume of direct investment from Russia to Kazakhstan amounted to $15.7 billion. The bilateral trade turnover in 2019 increased by 6.2% compared to 2018 and amounted to almost $20 billion. More than 7 thousand Russian companies and about 3.5 thousand joint Kazakh-Russian enterprises successfully operate in Kazakhstan. Joint projects are being actively implemented in the priority sectors. For example, in 2018, the largest Russian company "Polymetal" launched the Bakyrchik mining company with an investment of $418 million. It is planned to jointly implement 53 investment projects worth $6.6 billion," he said.
