"We are based on the fact that China is a neighboring, friendly state, second world economy. This visit is very important for us. We are grateful to China for support of CICMA and other initiatives of Kazakhstan on the international arena," said Tokayev at the meeting with Yáng Jiéchí, head of the group on foreign affairs of the Communist party of China during a two days visit to China.
As for the economic cooperation, he said, "it is strategic in its character".
"The agreements that were reached by Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President, and Xi Jinping, Chairman of China, will get further development," said Tokayev.
