Tokayev held meeting with President of Guinea-Bissau in Baku

Astana. November 13. KazTAG – Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Oumarou Sisoku Embalo , President of Guinea-Bissau in Baku, reports Akorda.
“On the sidelines of the 29th UN Climate Change Conference, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President Oumarou Sisoku Embalo.  Tokayev called Guinea-Bissau one of Kazakhstan’s significant partners on the African continent. He also confirmed Astana’s intention to strengthen friendly ties and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation,” the statement said.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is an open country that adheres to a peaceful policy and has the largest economy in the region. He emphasized that the two countries have good prospects for partnership.
"According to the head of state, despite the geographical distance, Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau can develop cooperation in the fields of agriculture, logistics and information and communication technologies. In turn, Umaru Sisoku Embalo expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to discuss the development of bilateral relations. In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited President Umaru Sisoku Embalo to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at a time convenient for him," Akorda added.
