Tokayev ordered to continue explanation of decision on capital renaming
Astana. March 28. KazTAG - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, president of Kazakhstan, has ordered to continue explanatory work on renaming of Astana into Nur-Sultan, reports the press-service of the president.
"Renaming of the capital and streets is a historical event which marks the merits of our Elbasy as a founder of independent Kazakhstan. It is demonstration of historical justice concerning the merits of the first president of Kazakhstan. I order the akim of the capital to regulate the work of all the authorized services and departments in terms of renaming of the capital city. I order the minister of information to continue explanatory work on this decision," he said.
He has ordered the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the NSC border service "to prevent any barriers or bureaucratic red tape concerning earlier issued visas and permit until their expiration in connection with the renaming of the capital".
