Tokayev signed framed agreement with Uzbekistan in energy field

Astana. April 2. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a framed agreement with Uzbekistan in the energy field, Akorda reports.
"The president has signed the law "On ratification of framed agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation in energy field," reads the message.
As it was reported, the Senate adopted the law "On ratification of a framed agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation in energy field".
According to the agreement, Uzbekistan showed the interest in oil import from Kazakhstan in the volume of 2 mln tons per year. A coordination council will be created which will regulate and control the performance of the arrangements.
According to the agreement, until commissioning of Shymkent-Dzhizak pipeline Kazakhstan will charge oil transportation services  through the main pipeline under zero VAT.
At the same time, for the purpose of VAT refund in accordance with the tax legislation of Kazakhstan, oil transportation services through the trunk pipeline are considered by the Kazakhstan side as an international transportation.
