"The session is being held on the threshold of the state visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan in autumn," said Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan at the session of intergovernmental council.
He said Kyrgyzstan is a close ally of Kazakhstan.
Mamin is paying an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
