“The head of state has been reported about the development of a domestic vaccine against coronavirus. According to Kunsulu Zakarya, on the basis of the institute, work is underway on five platforms to create vaccines against COVID-19. The inactivated vaccine developed by the institute is approved by the World Health Organization and has passed the first stage of clinical trials. At present, the second stage of the study is underway at the National Research Center for Phthisiopulmonology," the message reports.
The second developed domestic subunit vaccine for the coronavirus infection has been approved by WHO and has successfully passed clinical trials. The materials for this vaccine are kept at the National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices.
