Tours of world ballet stars rare in Kazakhstan due to absence of angel investments - artists
Almaty. April 9. KazTAG - The tours of the world ballet stars to Kazakhstan are rare due to the absence of angel investments, said Yerlan Andagulov, director of Art-Classic company.
"The art turned into business. The state funds are paid to the state teams. Not much money is spent for the world stars. Private companies cannot afford to invite famous artists so often," he said at the press conference dedicated to the tour of soloists of ballet troupe of Paris theatre Grand Opera - Ludmila Pagliero and Joshua Hoffalt.
He added now businessmen prefer to invest money into popular music.
"The angel investments have existed in Europe, the US, and Russia for several hundreds of years. Our businessmen do not have this habit, but gradually it will develop," he said.
He added ballet stars are invited to Kazakhstan not at random.
"We work as detectives, so to say. We are watching them. Watch the performances, ask experts in the ballet world who is the most popular now. Only then we start negotiations," he said.
