Trade transfer of Russia with Belarus into dollars and euro won't be effective - Russian Foreign Minister
Almaty. December 25. KazTAG - Trade transfer of Russia with Belarus into euro and dollars won't be effective for Belarus economy, said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister.
"As for Belarus trade transfer into euro and dollars, our companies have considerable commodity circulation with big positive balance for Russia. Thus if we transfer it into currency, Belarus will have to pay from its currency reserves," he said answering an appropriate question.
"The trade balance is in our favor. If trade is transferred into euro or dollars, I don't think it will be effective including from the point of view of Belarus economy. I don't think this scheme will be developed," he said.
He added Moscow and Minsk " have straight talks".
"When everyone openly states his opinion it is a sign of close alliance," he added.
