Transport council created in Kazakhstan

Astana. February 7. KazTAG - Transport council has been created in Kazakhstan, reports the press-service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
"Development of transport-transit potentials is an important direction of work of the Government. Transportation branch is one of the drivers of economic growth of Kazakhstan and has big development potentials. For this the transport council will be created," said Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
He said the share of transport sector is 8.2% of GDP in Kazakhstan. By the results of 2019 the growth rates amounted to 5.1%, while the number of employed people in the sector reached 640 000 people.
"The transport council will consider hot issues of development of the transport sector and transit potentials of Kazakhstan, form regional transport-logistics hub, increase the mobility of people, reduce the terms of loads delivery on the territory of the state and others," said the message.
