Trump encourages decision of Nazarbayev on resignation

Astana. May 13. KazTAG - US president Donald Trump encourages the decision of Nursultan Nazarbayev, first president of Kazakhstan, on resignation.
"Congratulations on this historic moment for your country. After nearly 30 years in office, you leave behind a long and stressful legacy as your country's chief executive and I applaud your decision to invoke constitutional procedure for an elderly transition," reads the telegram of Trump addressed to Nazarbayev posted by Aidos Ukebay, spokesman of the first president.
According to the American leader, last year's visit of Nazarbayev to the White House " was an important step in deepening cooperation between the United States and Kazakhstan".
"We have made great strides in our bilateral relationship, and I am pleased that American business continue to find ever-greater areas for economic cooperation with Kazakhstan," reads the letter.
"Kazakhstan has succeeded globally under your careful stewardship. I appreciated your support and working with you as a President and now I look forward to a similar, close relationship with President Tokayev," reads the letter.
