Turkey reconsidering high profile case on revolution plan
Almaty. November 4. KazTAG - Repeated reconsideration of a high profile case in respect of 236 soldiers accused of preparation of coup d'etat in 2003 started in Turkey, reports the Russian service BBC.
The soldiers were convicted two years ago on the case of so called operation "Sledge hummer". However many of them were released in June as according to the Supreme Court of Turkey there were many violations in the investigation process.
Hilmi Ozkok, ex head of general headquarters of the Turkish army, general, said he did not get any information about the planned revolution.
The repeated hearing may give a chance to Turkish army to improve its image in the period of tension at the borders with Iraq and Syria.
