Turkish professional unions calling workers to go on strike

May 16.KazTAG - The professional unions in Turkey have called workers to go on a one day strike due to the blast at the mine in the town of Soma, reports ITV British channel.

"Four professional unions of Turkey have called to go on a one day strike following the technogenic catastrophe killing at least 282 miners. The professional unions declared about reduction of security standards after the mine which used to belong to the town of Soma was passed to private property," the TV channel said.

The professional unions have called workers to wear black clothes.

As reported a blast hit a mine in the town of Soma in Turkey on May 14 located 250 km to the south from Istanbul. There were 787 people in the mine , only 363 managed to escape.
