Two Air Astana passengers were hospitalized in Uralsk with suspected cholera

Uralsk. May 2. KazTAG – Two Air Astana passengers were taken to a hospital in Uralsk with suspected cholera, Ural Week reports.
“Two Russian citizens were brought to us at night. After collecting anamnesis, epidemiological history, and clinical examination, cholera was completely ruled out. Both are in satisfactory condition. They left for their place of residence in the Saratov region,” said Nadiya Akhmetova, director of the regional infectious diseases hospital.
The plane arrived from Almaty to Uralsk on April 30 at 22.25. According to passengers, during the flight the man and woman became ill, had a fever, and were vomiting. After the plane landed, sanitary and epidemiologists boarded the plane.
“We were kept on the plane for two hours. And then all the passengers were released,” said one of the passengers.
