Two evacuees from Syria sentenced 7 years imprisonment
Almaty. May 14. KazTAG - Two persons evacuated within the frameworks of Zhusan-1 operation from Syria in January have been sentenced 8 years imprisonment each, said Bakhytbek Rakhymberdiyev, head of the NSC department.
"Two men who were evacuated to Kazakhstan within the frameworks on Zhasulan-1 operation have been sentenced 8 years imprisonment each. The court took into account gravity of their offences and the fact that they surrendered and assisted the investigation," he said at the press-briefing.
In his words, over 150 Kazakhstani children are still staying in Syria.
"About 150-170 children are still staying in Syria," he added.
