“A subsidiary of Kazatomprom, JSC Ulba Metallurgical Plant (UMZ), received a license for exploration of solid minerals at the Upper Irgiz field in the Aktobe region,” reads the report.
To assess and confirm the reserves and resources of rare metals (tantalum, niobium, beryllium), the enterprise will carry out geological exploration of the subsoil at the site.
Kazatomprom sees this as a reduction in the cost of final finished products and an increase in economic efficiency.
