UN concerned about obesity globalization
Almaty. April 10. KazTAG - The food and agricultural organization is concerned about obesity globalization.
“We can no longer deal exclusively with the famine. Sustainable development goal number 2 is to get rid of all forms of malnutrition. People suffering from overweight and obesity are increasing around the world,” said Graziano da Silva.
He also added that if hunger is usually prevalent in certain regions, obesity is ubiquitous.
“According to FAO since 1975, obesity worldwide has nearly tripled, which in turn led to a rise in the number of cases of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and diabetes”, stated the message.
