UN fixed size of annual contributions
Astana. January 3. KazTAG - The General Assembly has approved a new scale of states contribution to the UN regular budget for the next three years, the share of Kazakhstan will make 0.187%, reports the UN.
“According to the new scale, the United States will contribute 22% of its total volume to the UN regular budget, China - 12.005%, Japan - 8.564%, Germany - a little less than seven percent, France -4.427%, Brazil - 2.9&, Canada - 2.734%, Russia - 2.405 %, Australia -2.210 %, Kazakhstan - 0.187%, Lithuania - 0.071%, Ukraine - 0.057%, Belarus - 0.049%, Azerbaijan - 0.049%, Latvia - 0.047%, Estonia - 0.039%, Turkmenistan -0.033%, Uzbekistan - 0.032%, Georgia - 008%, Armenia - 0.007%, Tajikistan 0.004%, Kyrgyzstan - 0.002%," reads the statement.
The contribution of each state into the regular budget is calculated as a percentage of the total expenses of the organization. The scale of assessments every three years is determined by the UN General Assembly. This scale is based on the principle of states solvency. This approach takes into account indicators of gross national income. If the economy of a particular state develops successfully, then the size of its contributions to the UN budget also grows.
