“Among the priorities during the meeting of the Minister of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliyev and Deputy Secretary General for Field Support Atul Hare were identified the issues of the provision of military equipment for UN peacekeeping missions, cooperation in the field of satellite monitoring, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the field of digitalization and telemedicine. The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN, Kairat Umarov, and the Permanent Representative of the United Nations in Kazakhstan, Shimur Norimas,” - the message said on Tuesday.
It is noted that the proposal of the UN Deputy Secretary General on the use of Kazakh military equipment in UN peacekeeping missions, was welcomed by participants of the meeting.
The ministry noted that the balanced foreign policy of Kazakhstan and significant peacekeeping experience, both in the format of military missions as a dialogue platform at the international level, is highly appreciated by the UN.
