"Unemployment benefit will be doubled to 632 thousand soms (about $70) per month in 2020," said Erkin Mukhitdinov, First Vice Minister of Employment and Labour.
According to the latest data, 205 thousand of people are economically inactive in Uzbekistan, unemployment lowered from 9% to 8%. The number of unemployed people amounted to 1.3 mln, 50 000 get unemployment benefit.
