Up to 23 bn tenge to be invested into development of Imantau-Shalkar resort zone in North Kazakhstan region
Almaty. August 28. KazTAG - Up to 23 bn tenge are planned to be invested into development of Imantau-Shalkar resort zone in the North Kazakhstan region.
"A session has been held in the regional akimat which focused on tourism development in the North Kazakhstan region. The focus was Imantau-Shalkar resort zone. Within the frameworks of the state program of tourism development it has been included into the top 10 priority tourism destinations. Up to 23 bn tenge are planned to be invested into development of the resort zone," said the akimat of the North Kazakhstan region.
The plan includes performance of 56 arrangements in 10 directions.
"They include construction of engineering infrastructure, motorways and access ways. In the past three years 273 km of roads have been restored in the resort zone," said the akimat.
"The arrangements have increased tourists inflow by 40%," said the message.
"Last year 45 000 people visited Imantau-Shalkar resort zone. This year 63 000 tourists have visited the area. The funding volume for motorways repair is growing every year. 900 mln tenge were spent in 2017, 3.8 bn tenge in 2019," said Kumar Aksakalov, akim of the North Kazakhstan region.
