US blocks launches of Russian rockets with European satellites
Almaty. April 28. KazTAG - The US have blocked launches of Russian rockets with European satellites, reports lenta.ru.
"Russian Rocket-carrier will not deliver European space vehicles to the orbit made with American complete parts. It is connected with the ban of the US Ministry of Trade to deliver space vehicles to Russia of military or dual use made with American complete parts," reads the message.
The sanction concerns Astra 2G of Luxemburg company SES which was planned to be launched from Baikonur in June using Russian rocket carrier "Proton-M" . The ban also concerns Inmarsat 5 F2 telecommunication satellite planned to be launched in 2014. In addition Turkish satellite Turksat 4B won't be launched from Baikonur this summer.
In addition the sanctions will concern the companies which were planned to be launched with the Russian rockets "Proton" from "Baikonur" spaceport on the contract with the International Launch Services which is in the property of the space center after Khrunichev.
