US citizen detained at Kazakh-Chinese border
Astana. July 3. KazTAG - US citizen has been detained at the border of Kazakhstan and China for violation of migration law, reports the press-service of NSC border service.
"UScitizen has been detained for violation of stay rules in Kazakhstan. The detainee is 26 year old native of California," reads the message.
The detainee had expired migration and tourist visa with him. He also had printed schemes of command border post pointing the movement routes towards China, extracts of dictionaries of Russian, Kazakh, Chinese and Mongolian languages.
"According to the detainee he arrived en route Aktau-Astana-Ust-Kamenogorsk-Katon-Karagay-Uryl in order to travel to Japan. Investigation is underway," reads the message.
