US has no empire ambitions in respect of CA and Afghanistan - Hoagland
Astana. October 28. KazTAG - The US has no empire ambitions in respect of Central Asia and Afghanistan, said Richard Hoagland, deputy assistant secretary of state South and Central Asian Affairs.
In his words by late 2014 the US will complete its military operations in Afghanistan, at the same time the country has no plan to abandon Afghanistan. "Let me be clear here, it does not mean that we are seeking our presence, any military base or any form of military presence in the region," he said.
"We have strong relations with all the states of the region, but it does not mean we have certain military or empire ambitions in respect of the states of the region," he added.
