US refused to take part in Syrian talks in Nur-Sultan
Almaty. July 22. KazTAG - The US has refused to take part in the peace talks on the Syrian crisis settlement in Nur-Sultan, reports TASS.
According to the US State Department, the UN is the only forum for the political process in Syria. The Astana process and the talks which will take place in early August cannot replace Geneva format, the US will not take part in any format.
The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said that next meeting of Astana process will be held on August 1-2 in Nur-Sultan. According to Kazakhstani MFA, the delegations from guarantor-states - Iran, Russia and Turkey, representatives of Syrian Government and Syrian armed opposition will take part in the meeting.
