US Senators advocating new sanctions against Iran
Almaty. January 19. KazTAG - The US Senators are advocating imposition of new sanctions against Iran, reports the TASS news agency.
"American Senators Robert Menendez and Mark Kirk are advocating draft law adoption on new sanctions against Iran despite disapproval by the Presidential Administration," reads the publication.
The draft law of "Kirk-Menendez prescribes extension of sanctions against Teheran in case it abandons agreements with the international "six powers" on reduction of the nuclear program. The draft law stipulates punitive measures against the Islamic Republic in case of negotiations failure scheduled on June 30.
Meanwhile, the Presidential administration and the partners of the international "six powers" believe the draft law adoption will negatively affect the discussions atmosphere and complicate the final agreement achievement with Teheran.
