"The head of the department expressed concern over delays and cancellations of the airline's flights, as well as a shortage of tickets," reads the statement following a meeting between Uskenbaev and Air Astana President Peter Foster.
During the meeting, the minister gave instructions to speed up the delivery of new aircraft and ensure that the rights of passengers are not violated during flight delays.
“On my instructions, five new aircraft are expected to be received by the end of the year. In particular, the aircraft fleet of Fly Arystan will be replenished with two aircraft, Air Astana with three. In general, 24 new aircraft are expected to arrive by 2025, including three Boeing 787 Dreamliners,” Uskenbayev said.
According to the minister, the head of the airline assured him that all measures would be taken to fulfill the obligations.
