Uzbekistan ceased gas supply to south Kyrgyzstan despite $72 000 prepayment
Almaty. April 24. KazTAG - Uzbekistan ceased gas supply to the south of Kyrgyzstan despite $72 000 prepayment, reports KyrTAG news agency.
" We have no debts to Uzbekistan, we are working on the prepayment basis with them. Now prepayment makes $72 000. But despite this Uzbekistan ceased gas supply," said Turgunbek Kulmurzayev, general director of "Kyrgyzgas".
In his words, earlier Uzbekistan prolonged the gas supply agreement until April 15, but violated the agreement terms. According to Kulmurzayev, the issue of gas supply to the south regions must be solved on the Governmental level.
"We involved Gasprom in the negotiations, which is supposed to assume all the obligations," he added.
He said Kazakhstan despite the debt of Kyrgyzstan, did not terminate gas supply to the northern regions of the state.
As reported, Uzbekistan ceased gas supply to the south of Kyrgyzstan since April 14. About 60 000 subscribers have had no gas supply for 2 weeks.
