"Kazakhstan is starting to vaccinate three thousand volunteers with the domestic vaccine QazCovid-in," said a statement released on Saturday following a visit of Askar Mamin, Prime Minister, to the Scientific Research Institute (SRI) of Biological Safety Problems of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan.
To date, the research institutes have conducted phase I and II clinical trials of the domestic vaccine QazCovid-in.
“Preliminary research results demonstrate high safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of the vaccine at the level of 96%. The Ministry of Health has approved the start of the final III phase of clinical trials on 3 thousand volunteers," reads the message.
