Astana. December 24. KazTAG – The Vietnamese investor Qazaq Air is required to repay a loan of T38.4 billion by the end of 2044 and ensure the acquisition of 20 Boeings or Airbuses within five to seven years, said Elzhas Otynshiyev, co-managing director for strategy and asset management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
"There are two requirements for the Vietnamese investor (Qazaq Air – KazTAG). The first is to ensure the repayment of a loan in the amount of T38.4 billion by the end of 2044, as well as to ensure the acquisition of 20 Boeing or Airbus aircraft within five years with the possibility of extending this period for two years by the investor,” Otynshiyev said, speaking with a report at the government hour in the Majilis.
The key negotiations with the Vietnamese investor Savico on the deal to sell a stake in Qazaq Air have been completed. The State Commission for Economic Modernization approved these basic conditions. “By the end of the year, we expect a positive decision from the board of directors of Samruk-Kazyna and the government regarding this deal,” Otynshiyev added.
