Village closed for quarantine, five people hospitalized with anthrax assumption in Akmola region
Astana. August 19. KazTAG - A village has been closed for quarantine and five people have been hospitalized with assumption of anthrax in the Akmola region, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
"Quarantine was imposed in Olginka village after the probes have shown preliminary diagnosis "anthrax". The recommendation has been sent to the akim of Olginka village to impose quarantine on August 26," reads the message.
Five people have been hospitalized, they are in stable condition. No anthrax cases have been recorded among animals.
All the animals were vaccinated for anthrax in April in the village.
