"Quarantine was imposed in Olginka village after the probes have shown preliminary diagnosis "anthrax". The recommendation has been sent to the akim of Olginka village to impose quarantine on August 26," reads the message.
Five people have been hospitalized, they are in stable condition. No anthrax cases have been recorded among animals.
All the animals were vaccinated for anthrax in April in the village.
