"The federal anti-monopoly service of Russia has approved the bargain on merger of German Bayer and American Monsanto in Russia. The deal valued $66 was concluded in September 2016. After the merger the biggest company producing genetically modified seeds and pesticides will be created," reads the message.
According to Andrey Tsyganov, deputy head of the federal anti-monopoly service of Russia, the deal was approved after Bayer agreed to transfer technologies for selection of seeds and digital agriculture to Russia.
The bargain will be accomplished in Q1,2018.
