Yesimov and Rakishev named among objects monitored through Pegasus

Astana. July 26. KazTAG - Freelance assistant to the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev - ex-head of QazExpoCongress (formerly "Astana EXPO-2017") Akhmetzhan Yesimov and oligarch Kenes Rakishev are named among the objects for surveillance through the Israeli spy software Pegasus, reports the Center for Corruption Research.
"Abai Sarkulov (chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan - KazTAG), Akhmetzhan Yesimov, Kenes Rakishev", reads the report.
As noted, Sarkulov was selected as a target for surveillance in the spring of 2018, and Yesimov - in the autumn of 2018. The exact information on the year on Rakishev is not indicated, however, it is noted that he was among the targets along with fugitive banker Mukhtar Ablyazov.
