Earthquakes measuring 7 and 5.6 hit in Tajikistan, first one was felt in Almaty and Shymkent

Almaty. February 23. KazTAG - Two earthquakes of magnitude 7 and 5.6 hit in Tajikistan, reports the Seismological Experimental and Methodological Expedition of Kazakhstan.
“An earthquake was registered on February 23, at 6.37 am Almaty time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 696 km southwest of Almaty on the territory of Tajikistan. The energy class of the earthquake was 16. The magnitude - MPV 7. Perceptibility - (according to the MSK-64 scale): Almaty, Shymkent 2-3 points,” said the statement.
At 7.35 there was another earthquake, but already 636 km from Almaty. Its magnitude was 5.6.
