CSTO participation in the zone of Russian-Ukrainian conflict is not on agenda - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan

Astana. October 4. KazTAG - Involvement of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is not on the agenda, said Aibek Smadiyarov, official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
“In general, the zone of responsibility of the CSTO is clearly delineated by the internationally recognized territories of the member states of the Organization and collective security is ensured within these territories. Thus, the issue of CSTO participation in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is not on the agenda,” Smadiyarov said.
He explained that Kazakhstan proceeds from the principles of the territorial integrity of states, their sovereign equality and peaceful coexistence in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
