Meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia may take place in Kazakhstan

Astana. April 24. KazTAG – A meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia may take place in Kazakhstan, reports Turan , Azerbaijani news agency.
“Baku agreed to a meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Kazakhstan. If Yerevan agrees, the next meeting will be held in Kazakhstan,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the ADA University at a meeting with participants of the international forum “COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan”.
He noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia are closer to concluding peace than ever.
“Now we already have the Madrid Principles agreement, we have a common understanding of what a peace agreement should look like. You just need to work out the details. However, of course, both sides need time,” added Ilham Aliyev.
It is said that COP29 will create an opportunity for consultations between the three South Caucasus countries and pave the way for future cooperation.
“Now there is a unique opportunity. When the USSR collapsed, there were wars in our region, unlike the Baltic countries, which began their independent life peacefully. Now we have this chance. I think COP29 is a great opportunity for this,” Aliyev said.
